God is a creator. He always has been always will be. To me God is at His finest when He is showing off His “Creation” skills. When God changes a life, when He takes what is broken, burdened, bruised and makes it into something new…that is what Genesis is all about. Genesis is about God getting His creative juices going and doing things in a single weekend that just leaves so many of us in awe.

Hey I’m Josh and just one of the people around here that get to see God “get His creator” on every year at Genesis. Changed lives are His business and that is exactly what occurs at Genesis. God’s creative work didn’t stop after those first seven days at Creation. He is still creating new hearts and giving us new futures that will forever impact this world.

The heart of Genesis is found in the heart of the Eternal Creator. He creates life change. In a single moment He “alters” our lives and from that moment we grow, move, become all that He is planning for us. Genesis is a moment…it’s a conference with some great speakers, cheap rates, incredible worship and the list could go on and on. But most importantly, Genesis is changed lives that go home to see God continue the work back where they live.

To us this really isn’t about an event or our conference. Genesis is about what your family, youth ministry, friends look and act like when they go back home. To us, Genesis is just the “start of it all.”
